Ipswich City Council Planning and Development Committee Chairperson
Councillor Paul Tully said the Lifestyle Health Club gymnasium had
been given approval to operate around the clock.
"The club is located in the central hub of Bellbird Park at 338-344
Redbank Plains Road and plans to allow clients better access to
equipment, which will be most beneficial for shift workers or people
who can't always exercise before or after work," he said.
"Only the gym area will be available 24 hours and there will not be
any classes or group fitness outside normal operating hours.
"Dedicated car parking spaces also will be made available for clients
who plan to use the facility at any time of the day or night.
"For those who enjoy being active and improving their health and
well-being, having access to a secure 24-hour gym would be most
beneficial.
"Council is committed to approving developments which will benefit
members of the community and in this instance, provide more options to
improve health and fitness," Cr Tully said.
