SWANBANK: Town planning amendments go on public display

Proposed amendments to the Ipswich City Council town planning scheme affecting the Swanbank and New Chum area have gone on public display.

The amendments will provide an ongoing master plan for the area to create a regionally significant business enterprise and industry area.

Ipswich City Council Planning and Development Chairperson Cr Paul Tully said the proposal for the Swanbank and New Chum Enterprise Park would provide a major jobs focus for the western corridor.

"This master plan is one of the main keys to the city's future," Cr Tully said.

Submissions close on 26 June 2009.
