Matt Foley is National Patron of the Ipswich Poetry Feast which is celebrating 9 years.
Matt - who previously served as Queensland Attorney-General and Minister for the Arts - recited the poem, The Babies of Walloon which recognises the tragic deaths in 1891 of two young girls in a waterhole at Walloon.
Cr David Pahlke, Chair of the Ipswich Poetry Feast Committee did a fantastic job for this year's launch.
