Spring Mountain bushfire may cause respiratory problems for the next week.

The Department of Community Safety advises:

Multiple Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS), Logan and Ipswich City Council crews are currently monitoring a large grass fire burning in the Spring Mountain Conservation Reserve, between Spring Mountain and Greenbank.
The fire has been burning in inaccessible country for several days and is currently posing no threat to property.
Residents in nearby areas will notice a large smoke haze. Motorists are urged to drive with caution and to conditions.
Residents are advised to keep their doors and windows closed and if they suffer from respiratory illness, keep medication close by.
The fire is expected to burn within inaccessible country for the next week, if residents believe the situation has changed, and their home is under threat, they should ring Triple Zero (000) immediately.
