Grant Writing Workshop at Ipswich Civic Centre

Ipswich Grant Writing Workshop

Presented by Krista Hauritz

Krista has been writing grant applications for over twenty years as part of her roles in the tourism industry which have included Regional Director for Tourism Queensland and General Manager for Toowoomba & Golden West Regional Tourism.

Over the years she has worked on many community and industry projects that have been successful in gaining local, state and federal funding for the Great Bunya Drive, Fish Inland Qld, Drive Inland Queensland and the Xstrata Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo, to name a few.

In this workshop you will learn about:

*   Insider trade secrets and myth busting for applying for grant funding
*   Help on where to find grants
*   Getting the concept right
*   Developing your budget
*   Calculating in-kind support
*   Real life examples

Participants will gain practical, first-hand knowledge on grant writing; from where to look for funding, to hints on promoting your project, to getting the budget right. Krista hopes to give participants, whether new or experienced in the grant arena, real life examples of what she's done right and what she's done wrong in her grant application experience.
