- Cr Paul Tully is the longest-serving City Councillor in Queensland over a period of 33 years from 1979 - 2012. He has a Law degree from the University of Queensland and has been a political and consumer advocate and committed environmentalist for over three decades. He is also a qualified Australian Migration Agent. Cr Tully was an elected Queensland delegate to the Australian Constitutional Convention in 1998 and has been a longtime supporter of an Australian Republic and a Nuclear Free Australia, in his capacity as National Secretary of the Australian Nuclear Free Zones Secretariat. He has fought enthusiastically for over 30 years for the introduction of daylight saving in Queensland. Cr Tully is a passionate historian with a special interest in Australian, British and Philippines history. He is committed to the establishment of an Australian Bill of Rights and to the creation of free and democratic governments in all sovereign states throughout the world.
