Monique and Natasha Lord get prepared for St Patrick's Day at Falvey's Irish Heart Hotel in Goodna.
Pubs across Ipswich will be getting into the spirit of the day which, while traditionally honouring the man who spread Christianity through Ireland, has increasingly become an excuse to party.
Green outfits and green drinks will be the order of the day at Goodna's Irish Heart Hotel.
"The Irish just want to have fun – there's not enough of it these days," hotel owner Peter Falvey said.
The Irish Heart is offering two-for-one meals, live entertainment, green beer and green pasta.
In Ipswich CBD, Murphy's Pub will be offering discounted drinks, free pool and jukebox and green beer from 10am.
Brothers Leagues Club will host Irish dancing, traditional Irish meals and live music by The Life of Reilly Band.
