Sports Snippets from Goodna by Mark "The Ear" Oberhardt

OUR Goodna spies report a little thing like a flood isn't going to stop the local rugby league club which has nearly 400 players.

However, they do need some help to be up and running this season.

Besides damage to the clubhouse, fields and fences about $50,000 in equipment went down the creek.

Reports of flood damaged sports fields from all over the south east are rolling in.

For instance the Redcliffe Tigers AFL club has been underwater twice in recent months.
