The State Emergency Services SES have advised that their contact number 132500 has fallen over due to an apparent Telstra issue with no ETA for fix.
Local Governments are being asked to assist the SES with temporary arrangements.
Media releases will direct members of the public to the their local council.
We will then filter requests and capture details for appropriate SES requests and forward them on to the SES directly via email.
This is now operational.
Examples of SES request types:
• Leaking roof
• Request for sand bags
• Tree fallen over blocking access
Examples of requests that would be redirected:
• Medical conditions are to be referred to QAS for vetting.
• Police issues are to be referred to QPS.
• Fire issues to be referred to QFRS.
