Less than two weeks after resembling a swamp more than a swimming pool, the Goodna Aquatic Centre is set to re-open this week.

Olympic medallist Justin Lemberg, who leases the pool from Ipswich City Council, said power was restored to the Brisbane Tce complex on Monday, meaning the public would be right to dive back into the water by the weekend.

``We're just waiting for the pool to go blue again, which usually takes three or four days. We couldn't get to the pool until the Saturday (after the floods) and we had almost a foot of mud through there, with everything destroyed,'' he said.

``So in just over a week to be thinking about opening again is a pretty big effort.''

Lemberg said learn to swim classes would resume on Monday and between those, school aged children and the general public, Goodna Aquatic would again be ready to house its 3000 swimmers a week.

Up to 100 volunteers helped each day on the first weekend and staff took the rest of last week to complete the clean.
