BROOKWATER: Work is about to begin on the second stage of dwellings in Fairways Brookwater.

More new homes could front Brookwater Golf Course.

More new homes could front Brookwater Golf Course.

A media report last week suggested almost 30percent of the dwellings in the first stage of Fairways Brookwater had been sold and work was starting on the next phase of the multi-million-dollar development.

It is believed the first residences in the second stage could be completed by the middle of next year.

Publicly listed company Mirvac launched Fairways Brookwater last year.

At the heart of the Brookwater community is the golf course, which was designed by Greg Norman.

Mirvac Development Queensland chief executive Matthew Wallace said the second stage would have 34 dwellings, 18 on Augusta Parkway and the others fronting the community park.

He said buyers ranged from empty-nesters seeking to downsize while enjoying high-quality living, to younger couples with children.
